Figuring Out Future Living Arrangements, Housing and Support
Introduction
The workshop addresses the needs of youth and adults with developmental disabilities and their families. There are six sessions, including a Saturday tour of actual living arrangements used by adults with developmental disabilities.
Session Topics include:
* Where Am I Now and Where Am I
Going. It is a get-acquainted session, with several exercises
* Options in Community Living,
analyzing aspects (including funding) of licensed and non-licensed, independent
and supported living, arrangements.

Home Tour, with a chance to talk with adults with disabilities living in a
variety of settings.

Public Benefits and Homeownership with a panel of experts talking about In-Home
Supportive Services, the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program, and
homeownership programs.
* Estate Planning
* Next Steps for You and Your Family, with an emphasis on person-centered
planning and building circles of support.
