Overview

The Golden State Pooled Trust was created and is managed by the North Bay Housing Coalition, a California non-profit organization based in Napa, California. Its mission is to expand housing opportunities for persons with developmental disabilities. It is committed to creating resources for persons with disabilities such as the Golden State Pooled Trust with the goal of increasing independence and building lives within the community.

Our partners are experts in the field of special needs trust and include: Knights Administration, is a third party administration company that provides disbursement governance services to individuals and organizations acting as trustee for managed Individual and Pooled Special Needs Trusts across the United States. Knights retains a national and state counsel support system to protect your trust beneficiary by monitoring all trust disbursement requests from any (d)(4) (C) Pooled Special Needs Trust or (d) (4) (A) Individual Special Needs Trust to ensure continued eligibility for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or Medicaid.

At this time, the GSPT is only accepting self-settled accounts--meaning the assets of the person with a disability..

Third Party

We are actively developing a third party trust for the GSPT so that family and friends who wish to establish a special needs trust for a loved one may do so with the GSPT.
